Murata To Acquire RF Monolithics

Murata is set to acquire RF Monolithics (RFM), based in Dallas, Texas. The acquisition will enable Murata to service medium-volume customers with modified RF modules and SAW-based (surface acoustic wave) products for a range of applications.

Hoofddorp, The Netherlands: Murata is set to acquire RF Monolithics (RFM), based in Dallas, Texas. The acquisition will enable Murata to service medium-volume customers with modified RF modules and SAW-based (surface acoustic wave) products for a range of applications, according to Terry Churcher, president of Murata Electronics Europe. RFM designs and develops production-ready RF modules, SAW-based and RFIC short-range radios, standalone radio systems, and platforms for machine-to-machine (M2M) applications.
