Highly efficient power supply suits servers, redundant power applications

Sept. 27, 2012
Power-One Inc. introduces the TET750-12-054NA power supply, utilizing proprietary Titanium Efficiency Technology.

The TET750-12-054NA power supply is certified by 80 PLUS to Titanium efficiency, or greater than 96% efficient at 50% load. The new power supply is available in a 54-mm wide chassis.

Providing a single 12-V output at 750 W of output power, the TET750-12-054NA is designed for use in servers, networking, and other redundant power applications. The TET750-12-054NA also includes a 3.3-V standby supply and PMBus communication.

With the power supply designed at better than 96% efficiency, less energy is wasted within the server, and less energy is consumed in the overall cooling infrastructure. This is critical to the goal of increasing the power efficiency and reducing the overall carbon footprint of the data center. The extensive use of digital control and new energy saving circuit techniques enables this new level of efficiency, combined with a power density of 17.5 watts per cubic inch.
