32-Bit RISC µP Targets Embedded Uses

The promise of an optimized architecture, low power and low current consumption for embedded applications is made by the E0C33 family of 32-bit RISC microcontrollers. The initial offering is the E0C33A104, a 32-bit MCU that features voice synthesis and voice recognition capabilities. It incorporates the Seiko Epson E0C33 CMOS RISC core; 4 kbytes of ROM; up to 6 kbytes of RAM; a 128-channel intelligent DMA controller; a 10-bit, 8-channel ADC; an 8-bit, 2-channel DAC; and several timers. Applications include portable consumer electronics and voice applications such as handheld PCs, PDAs, digital cameras and office automation products such as printers, scanners and projectors. The chip's toolset includes an optimized C compiler and a full in-circuit emulator development system.
