Low-Cost Signal Generator Includes ARB

Dec. 1, 2000

Designed to service a wide range of users from hobbyists to engineers, the Model 4070A signal generator packs synthesized function, pulse and arbitrary waveform (ARB) generators into one unit. Based on direct digital synthesis (DDS) technology, the unit generates modulated sine waves, arbitrary waveforms, and pulses from dc to 21.5 MHz with an accuracy of 0.001%. The ARB allows users to design any waveform with up to 32,768 points, clocked from 0 Hz to 40 MHz, and adjustable in 0.01-Hz steps. The function generator provides popular function waveforms at repetition rates up to 2 MHz. The pulse generator allows adjustment of the duty cycle and amplitude of a pulse to repetition rates up to 2 MHz. Price is $1,500.
