Cable Offers High-Performance Shielding

April 1, 1999

Minimizing the need for individually shielded, parallel pairs for high-performance applications, TurboTwist multi-pair, ultra-low skew, low cross-talk cable is said to be smaller and more flexible than traditional cabling, with cable construction that can reduce assembly time by up to 25%. The cable comes in constructions up to 68 pairs in 30, 28 and 26 AWG. Typical connector applications include 2-mm, shielded and unshielded, VHDCI and point-to-point types. Uses include telecommunications interconnection of high-speed backplanes and switching systems.
