FieldBus Interface Module Includes Microcontroller

An intelligent 20-MHz Siemens C167 microcontroller and compatibility with any Controller Area Network-based protocol are offered in IP-CAN, firm's latest addition to its line of fieldbus interface IndustryPacks. The device implements the CAN protocol using the Siemens' CAN controller and is designed with built-in memory for end-user firmware development. It is compatible with any CAN-based network. It also offers 120 kbyte zero wait state SRAM, 128 kbyte Flash and a "bootstrap loader" mechanism to load and boot executable code via the C167's serial port.
