The HBL 1K6 Series is a heavy-duty, modular AC/DC switching power supply system that uses a full-bridge topology to deliver up to 1600 W, depending on output voltage requirements. Housed in a rugged 1U x 19” rack-mount chassis, the supply is suitable for industrial plants, air-traffic control systems, power utilities, radio communications, and other critical applications. The standard version of the HBL 1K6 is rated for any single dc-output voltage from 12 Vdc to 150 Vdc. It can be operated from a 230-Vac or 115-Vac line voltage. A 250 Vdc input (190 to 370 V range) is also possible. Other input/output configurations are available on request. An optional built-in redundancy diode allows for parallel and N+1 operation. This low-profile unit is fan-cooled and rated for operation over 0°C to 50°C at full load without derating, with wider temperature ranges available on request. Other options include additional ruggedizing and conformal coating for immunity to extreme levels of to shock, vibration, and humidity. The unit features full electronic protection and 80% efficiency at full load, depending on input/output voltage configuration. The HBL 1K6 is filtered to meet EN55022 Class A EMI as a minimum and meets international safety approvals including EN60950 and related UL and CSA standards. Standard versions of the HBL 1K6 cost $1058 each in lots of 100. ABSOPULSE ELECTRONICS LTD., Ottawa, Canada. (613) 836-3511.
