Bolt-On RTDs Are Easy To Install

April 1, 2002

Said to ease installation and removal, these RTD temperature sensors feature a bolt-on design and a small footprint. Four models are available for through-hole use and two for threaded-bolt designs. Platinum and nickel RTD elements are available with temperatures ranging up to 550¡C. The platinum element has a resistance of 100½ at 0¡C and meets the IEC 751 standard. Via two-wire construction, the RTDs can be used with 4 mA to 20 mA transmitters or a three-wire design can be used to compensate for lead-wire resistance.
