Attenuators Eye Temperature-Sensing Apps

Feb. 1, 2000

Designed for use in RF and microwave systems where circuits must compensate for changes in ambient temperatures, this new series of temperature-compensating attenuators can also be used as temperature sensors in a wide range of additional applications. Attenuators can be supplied for application-specific requirements. The devices are single-chip, passive components which eliminate the need to design or build any active circuitry to compensate the rest of the RF/microwave system for temperature-induced gain changes. They provide the same temperature-compensating action as an active circuit with no signal distortion.
