Analog Wiring System Can Replace Traditional Terminal Blocks

Oct. 1, 1998

Including preassembled and pretested cables to simplify wiring installation, Bulletin 1492 Analog Wiring Systems are said to efficiently organize intricate wiring to replace 20 to 40 individual wires with one simple cable. The design uses a prewired programmable controller I/O module connector and interface module connector at either end of the cable. Users simply snap the interface module onto a mounting rail, connect the I/O ready side of the cable, and plug in the module side of the cable. To reduce wiring on the field-side, fusible input Analog Interface Modules included in the wiring systems also feature DIP switches to easily connect unused inputs to a common module. A selection guide helps specifiers choose the proper modules and cables.
