Optimized HSD Interconnect Handles Differential-Pair Applications

Oct. 1, 1999

Optimized for differential-pair applications, this VHDM interconnect provides 38 real signal pairs per linear inch. Signal pin density is boosted by the integrated stripline shielding, which permits all contacts to be used for signal transmission. VHDM HSD meets data rates of 2.5 Gbps and crosstalk levels of 3.5%. With an orthogonal 2-by-2.5-mm pattern, trace pairs up to 10 mils wide run through the connector without jogs.
