Fairfield, NJ-A new group called MSI Sensors is the direct result of an acquisition by Measurement Specialties, Inc., a supplier of a broad range of harsh media-compatible pressure sensors, of the AMP Sensors Division of AMP Incorporated. The acquisition of the piezo-film technology-based division is expected to provide MSI with virtually complete coverage of the measurement of all physical properties for OEM applications and also to leverage its high-volume, low-cost manufacturing capabilities. MSI currently provides sensor-based solutions for the consumer market in addition to its industrial pressure sensor product line.
