Terminators Support High-Speed IEEE-1284 Standard

Sept. 1, 2000

An extensive line of 1284 terminators supports the high-speed transfer rates of systems that comply with the IEEE-1284 standard. The terminators offer a single-package solution for common problems such as pull-up termination and EMI/RFI filtering. They also serve as effective port terminators to minimize signal over/ undershoot, ringing and signal reflection.
The series EA(X), AA(X) and AP(X) terminators are available in numerous circuit types with an array of standard resistance/capacitance values. The resistance range for all series is 10 ohms to 10 Kiloohms and the capacitance range is 10 pF to 220 pF. The resistor and capacitor tolerances are ±5% and ±20%, respectively, with a TCR of ±100 ppm/°C. The AA(X) and EA(X) series offer a resistor pin count of 24 and the AP(X) series a pin count of 20. Body style options include wide SOIC, QSOP, TSSOP and 0.6, 0.5, or 0.4 mm die packs, depending on the series.
