Passive Product Library Works With Agilent's ADS

Feb. 26, 2007
Passive components manufacturer AVX Corp. has introduced a software product library for customers using Agilent's Advanced Design System to develop RF systems.

A new software product library for Agilent's Advanced Design System (ADS) has been created by AVX Corp. to allow its customers to perform diagnostics on circuit design before the manufacturing process so they can save both time and money in the development process. The library includes the following AVX passive components products: Accu-P (0402 to 1210 sizes), Accu-L (0402 to 0805), LGA couplers (0402 and 0603), surface-mount couplers (0603 and 0805), low-pass filters (0603 and 0805), and 3-dB couplers (0805).

The ADS EDA software offers complete design integration to designers of RF products, such as cellular and portable phones, pagers, wireless networks, and radar and satellite communications systems. ADS features design links for RF architecture applications to faster generate complex, high-frequency systems and circuit design. With a complete set of simulation technologies ranging from frequency- and time-domain circuits to electromagnetic fields, ADS lets designers fully characterize and optimize designs. The single integrated design environment provides system and circuit simulators, along with schematic capture, layout, and verification capability.
