Software Upgrade Boosts Debugging Systems Capabilities

Sept. 1, 2000

The company's Debussy knowledge-based debugging system has been software upgraded to provide Verilog and VHDL debugging. Full mixed Verilog and VHDL debugging allows users to freely trace connectivity, visualize design structure and behavior, and utilize debugging features across logic that spans blocks written in both Verilog and VHDL.
Previous versions of the system provided limited debugging of mixed-language designs. Users of these versions could only trace and visualize the logic in one language at a time. Blocks written in other languages were treated as black boxes. Available for Windows NT, UNIX and Linux, Debussy modules range in price from $3,000 to $10,000.
