Sensor/Actuator Connectors Guard Against Interference

March 1, 2002

Through use of a metal sheath, the PLUSCON-SACC shielded sensor/actuator plug connectors are reported to sharply reduce interference from electromagnetic fields. When assembled, the wire mesh of the shielded cable is placed over a large area of the metal housing, bridging the cable and protecting signals. Four- and five-pin M12 connectors are available in a plug or socket version in either straight or right-angled configurations. The four-position connector is rated up to 125 Vac/150 Vdc and 4A and the four-position component is rated up to 30 Vac/36 Vdc and 4A. PHOENIX CONTACT INC., Harrisburg, PA. (800) 322-3225.
