Presented as the industry's first application in a new category of software called device-relationship management, the Device Relationship Management (DRM) system software enables manufacturers and service providers to use the Internet to establish and manage continuous connections with intelligent devices. These include machines, sensors, equipment and systems.Consisting of a family of infrastructure and application software components that run on the device, gateway and enterprise, the system allows devices to be monitored, controlled and upgraded via the Internet. Features include a scalable, fault-tolerant application server hosted at the enterprise and a modular, embedded server that resides within the device or an attached gateway
