Connectors Terminate In A Single Step

April 1, 1999

Designed to eliminate problems caused by pin-socket connectors, Series 1203 IDC Sockets offers one-step termination and high-quality performance. Measuring just 0.05" x 0.1", they are well suited for reducing costs for 0.025" ribbon cable interconnects. Among the applications addresses are memory systems, large computer disk drives, and daisy chain uses where a mid-span interconnection is needed. The devices will terminate with 0.025" centerline flat ribbon cable assemblies and are available in select sizes from 20 through 100 pin counts. Features include optional strain relief and a polarizing bump for positive keying. The connectors provide fast, high-integrity mass termination, it's claimed, simplifying electronic interconnection.
