Plug-In Optical Fiber Connectors Are Space Savers

June 1, 1999

At half the size of popular SC connectors, the HMU Series of MU-type plug-in optical fiber connectors are said to be ideal for high-density applications such as optical terminal equipment, measuring instruments and optical relay racks or back panels. Insertion loss of the HMU connectors for single mode at a 1300-nm wavelength test if 0.5 dB or less. For grade index, insertion loss at 1300 nm wavelength is 0.3 dB or less.
