Cable Targets Gigabit LANs

April 1, 1999

Retaining the same small, round and flexible shape without bonded pairs, LANmark-1000 enhanced UTP four-pair cable offers users more powerful draft Category 6 component and channel performance. The firm claims it was able to improve several important cable properties, including attenuation, NEXT, PSNEXT, ACR, PSACR, ELFEXT and PSELFEXT. These electrical properties are critical to high-speed protocols such as Gigabit Ethernet, Gigabit Token Ring and Gigabit ATM. The LANmark-1000 is fully compliant with the latest No. 3 draft of the TIA Category 6 standard.
