PC MIP Ethernet Controller Eases LAN Integration

March 1, 2000

Designed to make the integrator's job of adding LAN capabilities to any system with a PCI bus easier, the P12 PC MIP 100Base-T Ethernet controller card connects the host system to a high-speed, twisted-pair Ethernet LAN. Ethernet signals are available at the front of the card through an RJ45-8 connector.
The card measures 47 x 99 mm and is based on DEC's DS21143 Ethernet controller chip. Other features of the Ethernet controller include 100-Mb/s transfers, full-duplex communications, burst mode DMA, and resistance to electrostatic discharges of up to 1.5 kV. Pricing starts at $290 each.
