App Simplifies Analysis And Diagnostics Of Complex Systems

Aug. 1, 2000

Teams 5.0 is part of a software toolset created for test sequencing and design-for-testability analysis of large, complex systems. The software combines multi-signal flow-graph modeling with information theory-AI algorithms to generate near-optimal diagnostic strategies for the unit under test. Featuring a user-friendly interface, the tool has the ability to generate a detailed diagnostic tree , FMECA reports in PDF format, TRD from a model, and test precedence. It can also import modules and tests from a library and import a model in XML format as well as update a model's parameters from a database. It is claimed that the model-based diagnostic strategies generated ensure that the calculated testability figures of merit for the system are achieved. Models can be embedded in the system and can be interfaced with interactive electronic technical manuals.
