Sensor Offers Non-Contact Speed And Direction

Aug. 1, 1998

Providing A and B channel encoder-style quadrature squarewave electrical outputs from rotational or linear motion, QuadraTrak non-contact speed and direction magneto-resistive sensor uses movement of a cam, gear, slotted disc or shaft with a keyway to serve as actuation. Other versions provide quadrature outputs and a direction signal or signal channel and direction signal. This sensor also comes with analog quadrature outputs. All versions provide high resolution, true zero speed and accept a supply voltage from 5 to 24 vdc.
