PXI Module Combines GPIB And Fast Ethernet Interface

Sept. 1, 2001

For users who need to conserve slots in a PXI chassis, the PXI-8212 integrates a PXI-GPIB and a 100BaseTX Ethernet interface on a single module. The GPIB controller chip transfers data at rates up to 8 MB/s and the Ethernet controller is compatible with both 10BaseT and 100BaseTX networks. The module uses the company's NI-VISA application programming interfaces for Windows 2000/NT/Me/9x, and can run unmodified software programs previously written with these APIs. Price is $695.
