Software Delivers Rapid Prototyping In Embbeded System Designs

May 1, 1999

Rapid prototyping and code generation in embedded system designs is possible with Real-Time Windows Target and enhanced Fixed-Point Blockset, a complete, tightly-integrated environment that supports the entire engineering design process, from modeling and simulation to rapid prototyping and code generation. The enhanced control design allows engineers to accelerate to the design process, it's claimed, bringing products to market faster and more efficiently. The enhanced Fixed-Point Blockset accelerates the design of digital embedded control and digital filter software for use on fixed-point processors. It addresses the issues of fixed-point single instruction and single data stream processors and is easily customizable to support multiple instruction and multiple data stream processing units. The Real-Time Windows Target allows design engineers to use a PC as a standalone, self-hosted target for running Simulink models interactively in real-time.
