Dual-Channel SCSI Host Adapter Employs ADS Technology

Dec. 1, 1998

With Advanced Data Streaming (ADS) technology, ExpressPCI Ultra2/WIDE dual-channel SCSI host adapter (UL2D) is a 64-bit/32-bit-compatible card with each channel delivering 80 Mbps of data throughput for use in high-end digital video, imaging, database and file server applications. The adapter uses LVD technology to double the throughput of the UltraSCSI performance and lets users connect up to 16 SCSI device IDs over a distance of 12 meters per channel. The UL2D is backward compatible with existing single-ended SCSI devices and features software that supports Macintosh and PC-based systems with no modification.
