Battery Retainers Reduce Cost, Save Space

Aug. 1, 2000

Claimed to be especially suited for low-cost memory applications in computer, electronic games, and other space-tight designs, the company's lithium coin-cell battery retainers feature a very low profile. The retainers are fabricated of 0.25-mm phosphor bronze and finished in nickel plating. In addition, the new retainers are claimed to optimize electrical contact as well as provide battery retention and enable batteries to be easily inserted. Pricing for the battery retainers is set at less than $0.20 each/10,000 and $0.15 each/over 100,000 with delivery from stock to four weeks ARO.
