April 1, 1999

With 256 and 512 general-purpose macrocells, respectively, the ispLSI 5256V and ispLSI 5512V devices join the firm's SuperWIDE ispLSI 5000V family of 3.3V in-system programmable logic devices. The 5256V boasts performance to 6 ns TPD and 150 MHz FMAX, while the 5512V achieves TPD of 7.5 ns and FMAX of 125 MHz.Both devices, as well as the earlier 384-macrocell ispLSI 5384V, offer what is claimed as the industry's widest generic logic blocks (GLBs) with 68 inputs and 32 macrocells per GLB. Their enhanced macrocells support concurrent, combinatorial and registered functions for maximum logic usage and feature multiple control options including programmable register Set, Reset and Clock Enable.
