16-Bit Inverting Buffer/Line Drivers Span Wide Voltage Range

Aug. 1, 1998

Optimized for 2.5V performance but capable of operating at 1.8V, 2.5V and 3.6V, the 74VCX16240 16-bit inverting buffer/line driver and its sister part, the 74VCX162240 with series resistors, are well-suited for use in high-performance servers, workstations, DIMM modules, high-speed graphics, and high-speed networking. The wide voltage range gives designers a migration path from 3.3V to 2.5V or 1.8V. The 74VCX16240 has static drive of ±24 mA at 3V, ±18 mA at 2.3V, and ±6 mA at 1.8V. The 74VCX162240 has static drive of ±12 mA at 3V, ±8 mA at 2.3V, and ±4 mA at 1.8V.
