Thermal Remote Sensor Eliminates Rewiring Hassle

Aug. 1, 1998

Eliminating the hassle of thermocouple rewiring for injection molding, forging, casting and heat treating applications, Thermal Remote Sensor System performs immediate, non-contact temperature data transmission for up to six J-type thermocouples simultaneously to provide vital temperature feedback from molds, dies or other movable tooling applications where hard-wired connections are impractical. The transmitting amplifier is attached to the moveable tooling and sends thermocouple data to the receiving amplifier mounted in a fixed location. The digital signal is passed wirelessly between amplifier heads is converted to a 4 to 20 mA analog signal that can be processed by any off-the-shelf temperature control.
