The adapters reduce intermodulation generation and improve the ability to accommodate multiple frequencies. They also include improved VSWR performance, more stable electrical and mechanical connections than available with Type N connectors, peak power rating of 40 kW compared with 10 kW for Type N connectors, greater resistance to environmental conditions and longer service life. The 7/16 DIN adapter coupling mechanism provides high contact pressure and full circumference contact.
