USB, Firewire Connectors Are Ready-To-Use

March 1, 1999

A series of Universal Serial Bus (USB) and IEEE 1394 Firewire connectors, plugs and cable assemblies is designed for modern computing systems based on these bus structures. USB receptacles are available for Series A and B systems in vertical, right-angle, single and stacked versions. The corresponding USB plugs can be ordered separately or as part of fully assembled cables. The Firewire connectors are designed for data transfer at rates up to 400MB/s and have hot-pluggable contacts, plug-to-socket locking, full shielding, and 1500-mating-cycle durability. Connectors are UL-recognized and CSA-certified and comply with all industry standards.
