Available as an option on firm's standard BGA sockets, Guide Posts provide the sockets with integral raised corners that enable easy alignment of the BGA device/adapter assembly into the socket, preventing damage to the adapter terminals due to misalignment.Well-suited for blind mating when visual access from the side of the socket is not possible, Guide Post BGA sockets boast of such features as: mating with Advanced Extraction Slot BGA adapters for easy device removal; a wide range of footprints; a size only 7 mm larger than the BGA device; coplanarity consistently under the industry standard of 0.006"; and eutectic solder balls for excellent processing.
