Sub-Mini Switch Is Enlisted For Use In Shock & Vibration Environs

July 1, 1999

Enhanced gold contacts, a unique “turtle-neck” design for improved performance, and the firm’s Butterfly double-break momentary mechanism are all featured in the KAP T-16 sub-miniature switch, which is well-suited for use in applications requiring long and trouble-free life, especially in environments with excessive shock and vibration. The switch is said to enhance the performance of contactors and relays, over-the-road truck equipment, valve position indicators, power tools, and other devices. The turtle-neck design flange surrounding the operating button increases the bearing surface for smooth actuator performance. Enhanced gold contacts offer top performance with logic level electrical loads and also are suitable for higher current loads. The switch is single-pole and can handle up to 10.1A at 125/250 vac.
