Transformers Serve In ADSL Line Interface Apps

Aug. 1, 1999

Designed to work with Alcatel’s DynaMiTe MTK-20140 ADSL chipset are two transformers. The B2068 ADSL transformer has a through-hole package for central-office applications, while the B2064 is a surface-mount part for customer premises equipment, such as external modems and adapter cards in desktop PCs. ADSL technology provides high-speed data transmission and faster Internet access over conventional copper telephone lines. Both transformers are available in 10-pin configurations with a minimum linearity of -72 dB at 20 kHz for the through-hole part and a minimum of -72 dB at 10 kHz for the surface-mount device. Sample quantities of both are available now from stock with production lots shipping in six to eight weeks.
