Cabinets Are Compatible With Compaq Equipment

Sept. 1, 1999

The DataFrame family of welded 19" vertical rack cabinets offers Compaq compatibility. The units’ mounting rails are made of much heavier 12-gauge steel, allowing most chassis to be shipped installed in the cabinet. Equipment mounting rails have both 1-cm2 mounting holes and traditional 0.281" round holes. Rails can be reversed to accommodate users’ chassis and are adjustable front-to-back to ease installations. The cabinet door exceeds the Compaq cooling specification, and the angled door design allows flush side-by-side cabinet mounting with proper clearance using a simple bolt-together kit. Flush cabinets can still have locking front and rear doors. All DataFrame cabinets come assembled and fit through a standard 7' office door. Cabinets are available in 36U and 40U configurations with cabinet depths of 31" and 36". Applications are rack-mount servers and networking equipment, for example.
