Busbar Now UL Recognized

June 1, 2000

The FLEXIBAR flexible, insulated busbar has been retested by UL and is now recognized for use in higher- power applications. Previously rated at 160A, the device is now rated for up to 227A and is available in capacities from 100A to 2000A. The busbar consists of a stack of tinned electrolytic copper laminates protected within PVC insulation. The internal copper laminates are free to slide within the insulation, permitting the units to be twisted and bent when they are being installed. Configurations can be provided to users' drawing specifications.
