TFT Touch-Screen Connects To Most PLCs

Aug. 1, 2000

Claimed to be ideal for industrial and other demanding environments, the CIMREX 91 operator terminal is a touch-screen that can handle recipes, scaling and alarm logging that previously required large PLC programs. Color images in JPEG, TIF or BITMAP formats are said to be easily imported for customization. Through standard RS-232 and RS-422 ports, the device supports pass-through communications using the company's FP series PLCs and can connect to most other PLCs. The operator terminal also includes two expansion slots for Ethernet or Profibus networking capability.
