Custom-Power/Double-Protection Transformers Sport Many Options

March 1, 2001

To accommodate the specific needs of individual users, the company is now offering complete custom-design capabilities for its UL 1411, 1310 and 544 recognized power and double protection power transformers. Custom design options available for these transformers include a choice of PC pins, solder leg mounts, lead wire connections, mating cords and or terminating plug connections, plus any technical/specification assistance required. CSA, SAA, VDE, BSI and 13 UL standards can also be addressed and met as well as abnormal test requirements such as a 3.5 kV dielectric test voltage. Standard core sizes are EI-28 to EI-86 with 120V, 220 VAC to 240 VAC primary input and non-hazardous or hazardous outputs range from 0.4 VA minimum to 100 VA maximum depending on core size. Other variations include Nylon 66, PBT or phenolic bobbin materials, channel frame or PCB mounting, enclosures with or without endbells, and UL recognized AWM, terminal or pin connections.
