Converter Calculates Humidity And Temperature

June 1, 2001

Designed to operate in harsh environments where other sensors will not, the IN-HWD is an industrial humidity and temperature sensor and transmitter. It employs a proprietary microprocessor to calculate humidity, and then outputs an accurate 4-to-20 mAdc signal for both humidity and temperature. The humidity output is accurate to 1.0% and temperature to 0.1%. The IN-HWD is claimed to work in difficult conditions that would damage other kinds of sensing elements. The inputs to the device are wet and dry bulb and can be either RTDs or an electrical equivalent of wet bulb and dry bulb. The outputs can be ordered as millivolts, volts or current.
