Linear Sensor Arrays Target Scanning Applications

Aug. 1, 2002

Designed for scanning applications, the TSL2014 and TSL210 expand the company’s 200-dpi linear sensor array product line. The TSL2014 consists of two sections of 448 photodiodes and associated charge amplifier circuitry. It is an 896x1 device measuring 112-mm long and is designed for scanning standard A6-size documents. The TSL210 linear sensor array consists of five sections of 128 photodiodes, each with associated charge amplifier circuitry, running from a common clock. It is a 640x1 array measuring 80-mm long. Both devices operate with a maximum clock rate of 5 MHz. The TSL2014 comes in a 10-pin glass epoxy substrate package with cover glass, while the TSL210 comes in an 18-pin glass epoxy substrate package with cover glass. Both arrays can be used in other applications including contact imaging, mark and code reading, bar-code reading, edge detection and positioning, and OCR. The TSL210 and TSL2014 are priced at $27.48 and $35.39, respectively, each/ 1,000. For further information, contact TEXAS ADVANCED OPTOELECTRONIC SOLUTIONS INC., Plano, TX. (972) 673-0759.
