14-Bit A/D Converter Operates At 52 MSPS

product pic

Operating at 52 MSPS, the CLC5958 A/D converter is a 14-bit device optimized to simultaneously digitize multiple channels in wireless base station receivers. The device's ultra-wide SFDR of 90 dB is coupled with signal-to-noise ratio of 70 dB at 20 MHz.The chip integrates a low-distortion track-and-hold amplifier and a 14-bit multi-stage quantizer on a single die. Base station designers can reduce system size and cost by replacing multiple lower dynamic range ADCs with a single CLC5958, it's claimed. The part further helps to simplify system design by eliminating the need for expensive filters, mixers and amps.
