24-Bit Stereo Codec Fits In 16-Pin TSSOP

Said to represent the industry's smallest 24-bit stereo compression/decompression (codec) device, the AK4552 16-pin TSSOP requires a 3V power supply and delivers 94-kHz sampling with a combined power-consumption rating of 60 mW for the A/D and D/A converters. Other features include a S/N ratio of 96 dB for the a/d converter and 100 dB for the d/a converter, two- and four-times speed monitor modes, and an operational temperature range from -40°C to 85°C.
