Analog Output Cards Suppress Start-Up Errors

Jan. 1, 2000

Available with eight or 16 channels as the PCI-DA12-8 and -16, respectively, this pair of analog output cards for the PCI bus offers 12-bit, double-buffered D/A converters, 24 bits of digital I/O, and seven programmable output ranges. Moreover, the cards help safeguard smooth control system operation by limiting any output at startup to 15% of full scale, thus preventing spurious outputs from causing potentially harmful results or costly errors. Other features include three 16-bit down counters with pre-wired functions (frequency measurement/generation, pulse-width generation and event counting) that enable users to read or apply signals at only one pin. The cards are rugged enough for harsh industrial environments and come with an extensive library of utility software.
