June 1, 2000

Several new features have been added to the EMbassy wire-harness design software that can be used to automate the process of wiring products. The upgraded version, EMbassy v2.5, provides new features that include: user- and custom-design rule checks; extension of bend radius checks on individual wires to channels; not-to-scale 2-D harness drawings; fill codes and line styles; in-line dimensioning; and channel snap. The Report function has been enhanced to allow creation of configurable reports on the library-part data. Partdatabook, a new facility, allows users to do keyword searches when selecting parts. Other additions include graphical loom/harness coverings, harness ID propagation, and ASCII import of part sentences. Pricing for the software starts at $6000.
