Audio Transducer Sounds Pagers' Alarms

Feb. 1, 1999

With reliable sound output and compact size, the QMB-108 series of audio transducers is well suited for applications in pagers as well as in other space-restricted wireless communication and telecommunication products. The non-washable transducers are extremely thin and lightweight, measuring 12 mm x 7.5 mm tall and weighing 2g. Despite their small size, the transducers deliver consistent sound output of 92 db (85 db minimum) at a distance of 10 cm, exceeding the industry standard of 83 dB. Rated frequency is 2743 Hz for these transducers, which operate over a temperature range of -20°C to 60°C. They require a maximum power supply of 2V. These specs are well within the desired range for wireless products.
