Bus Coupler Connects Devices To ControlNet

Oct. 1, 1998

Connecting a wide range of discrete and analog devices to a ControlNet network, BK7000 Beckhoff bus coupler is compatible with all Beckhoff terminal technologies. This includes: discrete input/output terminals that handle signals from TTL to 230 vac; analog terminals handling ±10V, 0V to 10V, 0 to 20 mA, and 4 to 20 mA; thermocouples; and special function terminals that accommodate a variety of signals, including RS-232 communications and incremental encoder interfaces. BK7000 can handle up to 512 bytes of input data and 514 bytes of output data, which enables a combination of signals that can reach 256 discrete input/output, and/or 128 analog input/output signals.
