Cable Assembly Answers Need For Greater Bandwidth

April 1, 2001

The FiberOptic Patchcord Assembly (FPA) is a high-performance fiber optic cable assembly. Available in different grades, the 3U and 3A are premium grade cables, while the 5P standard-performance grade cables are for applications where cost is of most concern. The cable assemblies are offered in single-mode and multi-mode and in simplex and duplex layouts and custom cable assemblies are available, built to customer-specific configurations. The assemblies are used in optical transport and telecommunications switching equipment, optical access and ATM network equipment, Fast Ethernet, data communications, LANs and WANs, multiplexers, switches, routers and high-speed enterprise servers. Thy are manufactured and tested to meet industry standards, including Telecordia, TIA/EIA and IEC specifications.
