CCD Image Sensors Handle Large Formats

Oct. 1, 2000

The KAF-5100CE and KAF-16801CE image sensors are designed for large-format, high-performance digital imaging applications. The KAF-5100CE is a 5.1-million pixel CCD image sensor based on a 6.8-µm pixel architecture. Offered in a 26-pin ceramic package, its optical format provides a light-capturing surface that is said to be six times larger than those found in most digital cameras.
The KAF-16801CE features a 16.6-million pixel array and incorporates a 9-µm pixel architecture. This CCD image sensor is available in a 34-pin DIP ceramic package.
Samples of both devices are available now.
