CCFL Assemblies Speed Backlit LCD Repairs

Nov. 1, 2001

Rather than replace an entire LCD when the only problem is that the cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) backlight has failed, individuals can simply replace the failed CCFL with one of the company's cool-white CCFLs. The replacement CCFLs range from 2 to 6 mm in diameter and from 25 to 360 mm in length. Suitable for use in LCD screens measuring up to 18.1", the lamps come with high-voltage wire harnesses and mating connectors. Users can order from one to 1,000 lamps or lamp-plus-harness assemblies that are compatible to most manufacturer's LCDs. Lamps and assemblies are available for as little as $12 each with a standard delivery time of two weeks for prototypes and four to eight weeks for production quantities. JKL COMPONENTS, Pacoima, CA.
